The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce will host a Member Town Hall on Monday, June 5 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Education doesn't end during the Summer, there's still work to be done! Join us at the Augusta Metro Chamber office to learn how businesses and schools can work together during the Summer to make students more successful.
The Member Town Hall featured guests include:
- Angela Pringle, Superintendent of Schools, Richmond County School System
- Mark Lee, Georgia Skilled Trade Initiative Program Manager, Georgia Economic Development Department
- Phil Wahl, Chairman, Augusta Metro Chamber Business Education Advisory Council
Dr. Pringle will discuss recent partnerships and opportunities for the business community to support underprivileged students through programs offered during the summer. Mark Lee will talk about the Trade Five, A Skilled Trade Education Program, and how businesses can contribute to the scholarship funding. As Chairman of the Chamber's Business Education Advisory Council, Phil Wahl will present the committee's current initiatives and ways in which the business community can support the Richmond County School System.
