This workshop will cover the basics of fundraising and grant writing: types of fundraising essential elements before a fundraising campaign begins the board's role in fundraising when and why people give the "asking" (for $$) scenario keeping donors engaged with the organization and its mission identifying potential grant sources grant application preparation key elements for successful awards keeping the grant funder happy through publicity and follow-up Our workshop presenter is Jim Matson, who has more than 25 years of experience helping clients receive over $100 million in grant funding. His organization, Matson Consulting, LLC, helps non-profits secure over $1 million annually through fund-raising, and $8 million annually in federal grant funding.
