Patrick Wells - President of Piedmont Landscape Management, 2021 Top 10 in 10 Recipient, 2023 Rising Star Recipient, and 2025 Georgia's Small Business Person of the Year
Patrick Wells is the President of Piedmont Landscape Management and Georgia’s 2025 Small Business Person of the Year. A licensed landscape architect and entrepreneur, Patrick’s passion for the outdoors began early, working in his family’s landscaping business and later earning a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia.
He and his wife, Caroline, purchased Piedmont in 2019 and expanded their mission by acquiring Christmas Decor of Augusta in 2024. Under Patrick’s leadership, Piedmont has grown into a respected company known for its quality, people development, and community impact.
Patrick’s commitment to service extends far beyond his professional accomplishments. He served as President of the Rotary Club of Columbia County from 2019 to 2020 and continues to lead and empower through Rotary by currently serving as Area 9 Rotary Assistant Governor. . He’s also an active Ambassador with the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and was honored with the Top 10 in 10 in 2021and the Entrepreneur Rising Star Award in 2023. A Leadership Augusta Class of 2020 graduate, Patrick remains dedicated to regional growth and mentorship.
In addition to his civic involvement, Patrick gives back through faith and education. He is a Deacon at Reid Memorial Church, a Board Member for the Reid Mother’s Day Out Program, and serves on the Advisory Board for the Horticulture Department at Augusta Technical College, helping nurture the next generation of green industry professionals
Patrick and Caroline live in Augusta with their two children. He enjoys gardening, hunting, and traveling with family. Patrick is passionate about building landscapes—and lives—that thrive.
