Debbie Antonelli is a men’s and women’s college basketball analyst for ESPN and CBS in her 38th year calling college hoops, the last nine seasons on the CBS college hoops team for the NCAA men’s tournament. Antonelli was a 2-time captain and 3 year starter at guard for NC State helping lead the Wolfpack to 4 NCAA Tournaments, 2 sweet 16s, 2 ACC regular season titles and one ACC Tournament title. Her career has landed her in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as winner of the Curt Gowdy Media Award in 2024, Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022 and the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame in 2021. In January 2025, NC State honored Antonelli with NC State’s “Ring of Honor” where her banner hangs in the rafters at Reynolds Coliseum. In May of 2025, The Mayor of Mount Pleasant named a gym, “The Debbie Antonelli Gymnasium” which will be affectionately called “The Deb.”

Antonelli also has 2 Emmy Awards for her work in basketball.

Debbie Antonelli is a resident of Mount Pleasant, SC with her husband Frank and is the mother of 3 young men, Joey, Frankie and Patrick. Her middle son, Frankie is a young man living with Down syndrome and the motivation behind “24 Hours Nothing But Net,” a 24 hour free throw shooting marathon fundraiser for Special Olympics. 24 Hours Nothing But Net has raised over $1.4 million in the last 7 years for Special Olympics and her 7 year free throw percentage is 93%
