Join the Augusta Metro Chamber for May's Women in Business, Shattering Stereotypes: Women Thriving in Unconventional Industries.

From nuclear to engineering, from technology to construction, these remarkable women have defied societal norms and blazed trails in fields where their presence was once uncommon. Through their journeys, they have shattered stereotypes and paved the way for the future generations of women. 

Lynsey Steinberg, MSMI, CMI - Director of Innovation at the Georgia Cyber Center

Lynsey is the Director of Innovation at the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center with Augusta University, a Board Certified Medical Illustrator, and a doctoral student in Computer and Cyber Sciences at Augusta University. Additionally, she teaches in both the Department of Medical Illustration and Undergraduate Entrepreneurship and Innovation courses at Augusta University. Holding a Master's in Medical Illustration from the Medical College of Georgia and a Bachelor's in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Lynsey joined Augusta University in 2012. Since then, she has passionately driven student motivation and engagement, notably through developing INNOVATE—an annual student pitch competition fostering real-world educational experiences and the Certificate of Leadership in Entrepreneurship and Innovation pathway.

Shanteka Glover - Principal Information Security Specialist at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions

A native of Bowman, South Carolina, Shanteka Glover is a Principal Information Security Specialist at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. Shanteka has previously worked in the fields of IT Projects Support, Software Design and Configuration Management, and Cyber Security Policy and Awareness. As a Principal Information Security Specialist, she is a coordinator and contributor to the operations security awareness program.

Shanteka is an HBCU Computer Science undergraduate of South Carolina State University (SCSU) (2009), has an MBA with concentration in Project Management from Strayer University (2012), and has her second masters from Strayer University (December 2020) of a Master of Science in Information Systems Management. She currently holds certifications in grant writing (Fort Hays State University), cyber security fundamentals (GIAC-GISF), and software configuration management (CISCM-International Society of Configuration Management), and soon plans to take on the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification later this year.

Luneta Louis - Senior Quality Engineer at John Deere

Luneta Louis is a Senior Quality Engineer at John Deere's prestigious Commercial Products facility located in Augusta, Georgia. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University (2010) and a Master of Business Administration specializing in Strategic Leadership from Pennsylvania State University (2021), Louis embodies a perfect blend of technical prowess and strategic acumen.

Having devoted 15 fantastic years to John Deere, Louis has traversed diverse landscapes, from Des Moines, Iowa, to Moline, Illinois, and now Augusta, Georgia. Her journey within the company has seen her ascend through the ranks in manufacturing engineering, operations, supply management, and quality engineering. In her current role as the Senior Quality Engineer for the North Factory, Louis is the driving force behind transformative process improvement projects that elevate metric performance and ensure top-notch product quality for customers. Beyond her technical expertise, Louis is a dedicated mentor, nurturing talent within the quality team, and a go-to Subject Matter Expert for Quality Management modules in SAP.

Angela Martin, MBA, SHRM-SCP - HR Operations Manager, NNSA Capital Projects for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions

Angela Martin is the Talent Acquisition Manager for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC. In this role, she leads all strategic recruiting, staffing, and onboarding initiatives for the company. She has 35 years of experience at SRS in positions of increasing responsibility in Education Outreach, Corporate Communications, and Human Resources. She has managed numerous SRNS-sponsored programs across the CSRA, including the School-to-Work program, CSRA College Night, SRNS Innovative Teaching Mini-Grants, SRNS Internship and Post Doctoral programs, SRNS Family Independence program, and sundry staffing initiatives. She previously served on the Youth Apprenticeship Advisory Boards for both the Richmond County School System and the Columbia County Board of Education and has led interviewing skills/resume writing workshops at Claflin University for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Collegiate chapter. She has also supported STEM-related programs for middle and high school students, such as the Future City competition and the DOE Science Bowl. She currently represents SRSN on the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
