Augusta Metro and Greater Augusta Black Chambers of Commerce to Host Candidate Forums for Commission Districts 1, 3 and 9 Runoff Elections
The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with WFXG-TV FOX 54 and the Greater Augusta Black Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to host a second round of Candidate Forums for the Augusta-Richmond County Commission Districts 1, 3 and Super District 9 election runoff on July 14th, 2020. The candidate forums, sponsored by Sherman & Hemstreet Real Estate Company, will be available for viewing via livestream on wfxg.com and also available via the Augusta Metro Chamber and WFXG-TV FOX 54 social channels.
Led by moderator Jay Jefferies, Meteorologist for the WFXG-TV Fox 54 Weather Team, the candidates will answer questions directed from two panelists: Sue Parr, President and CEO of Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and Ronic West, President of the Greater Augusta Black Chamber of Commerce.
The goal of these forums is to allow voters an opportunity to hear from local candidates a second time before the August 11, 2020 runoff election and head to the polls as informed voters.
