On Tuesday, September 18, the Augusta Metro Chamber Women in Business luncheon will offer guests a unique perspective and insight on community leadership and the rapid pace of political policy. The luncheon, presented by Doctors Hospital of Augusta, will be held at the Legends Club and begins at 11:30 am. The afternoon’s presentation will feature a panel discussion with Nancy Bobbitt, Regional Director, Office of Senator Isakson; Jennifer Hayes, Director of Constituent Services, Office of Senator Perdue; Brinsley Thigpen, District Director, Office of Congressman Allen; and Jessica Hayes, Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of Congressman Hice.

She previously served as District Director for former Congressman Max Burns, and before that as a Professional Pharmaceutical Representative for Schering-Plough Pharmaceutical Company for 18 years in the Augusta area.

A graduate of Mercer University, Jennifer Hayes worked for Senator Saxby Chambliss in DC and in his state office. After working for him for 10 years and following his retirement, she became part of Senator David Perdue’s staff. She now serves as the Senator’s Director of Constituent Services. Jennifer is an alumna of Leadership Augusta and still remains active with the organization.

Brinsley Thigpen was named District Director for Congressman Allen in February 2015. Brinsley, a graduate of The University of Georgia, previously served as the CEO of the Augusta Sports Council, is an alumna of Leadership Augusta and currently serves on the boards of the Southeast Firefighters Burn Foundation and the Alliance for Fort Gordon.

As Deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Congressman Jody Hice, Jessica Hayes is responsible for overseeing the district office operations, including supervising staff, helping shape the Member’s schedule, and organizing constituent outreach events in a 25 county region. Before joining Congressman Hice’s office, she served as Press Secretary and later District Director for U.S. Congressman Paul Broun, M.D.
