SPECIAL EDITION! Business Builder: FLSA Rule Changes Arriving January 1

The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host a Special Edition! Business Builder on Wednesday, December 18 with Hull Barrett, PC to review the updates to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) going into effect on January 1, 2020. Many employers remember changes were proposed two years ago, though never went into effect. The New Year will see new rules that provide clarification on employee classification. Attorney Tom Cathey of Hull Barrett will review the new FLSA rules for 2020 and explain the impact on the business community.

 

Tom Cathey practices in the area of general civil litigation with extensive experience in employment litigation, governmental liability and public employment litigation and worker’s compensation law. Using his vast knowledge of state and federal employment laws and keeping up to date on current employment trends, Tom counsels a number of public and private entities in employment and personnel matters.

 

This Special Edition! Business Builder event will be held at the Augusta Metro Chamber office from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm and lunch is provided.
