The Healthcare Landscape in 2018 at September Member Economic Luncheon

The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, with Unisys, is pleased to present the third quarterly Member Economic Luncheon featuring guest speaker Jim Davis, President and CEO of University Health Care System, to speak on the changes and trends in the healthcare industry. The luncheon will be held Wednesday, September 12 in the Oglethorpe Ballroom, Augusta Marriott and begins at 11:30 am.

 

James R. Davis joined University Health Care System in January of 2009, and was named President and Chief Executive Officer in 2010. Mr. Davis has over three decades of experience as a senior executive in hospitals and health systems. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Akron.

 

Currently, Mr. Davis serves as Chairman of the Board for Vizient MidSouth, a membership alliance for not-for-profit health care providers. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for the Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Boards of the Augusta Symphony and the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals. In 2015, Mr. Davis was recognized in Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the “130 Nonprofit Hospital and Health System CEOs to Know”.
