CSRA Leadership Returns to Nation’s Capital

Augusta, GA (September 12, 2022) – The annual CSRA Leadership Trip to Washington, D.C. is returning to the nation’s capital September 13-15, 2022 after a 2-year absence during the pandemic.  This trip is an excellent opportunity for leaders from local government, the business community, the education sector and four local chambers of commerce to connect with key national leaders. Trip participants, both public and private sector business leaders from the CSRA, will travel to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for a federal legislative update and a transportation & infrastructure discussion as well as discussions on workforce and earmarks. Groups will meet with Legislative Directors and Chiefs of Staff from Congressional offices and take meetings with Senators and Representatives from Georgia and South Carolina to advocate on behalf of our region.

Leaving Tuesday, September 13 and spanning three days, the trip will also feature briefings from the Department of Energy, the Office of Environmental Management and NNSA. The perfect opportunity for local business leaders to network and build upon each other’s successes, this trip will also allocate time for individual discussions and group conversations.

The 2022 CSRA Leadership Trip is hosted by the Aiken, Augusta Metro, Columbia County and North Augusta Chambers of Commerce, and is made possible by the 2022 sponsors and hosts Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, Savannah River Mission Completion, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Southern Company.
