House Bill 880 Passes Unanimously This Week

The Chamber has been an active advocate on the passage of HB 880 this session which passed the House unanimously On Tuesday.  HB 880 provides for expedited licensing portability for military spouses moving into Georgia.  Subject to passage in the Senate and signed by the Governor, HB 880 will ensure employability and continued income from day one for service member families where a spouse holds professional licensing from another state.  Our thanks go to our local delegation on their support of this important legislation critical to our state’s and Augusta’s continuing support of our military installations.
